Hoax FTC email spreading malware

Yet another clever socially-engineered email-borne malware attack has hit. This time a spoofed email was sent that appears to be an acknowledgment of a complaint filed by the recipient with the FTC. The message is personalized with name and company name and encourages opening the attachment by stating

“Attached you will find a copy of your complaint. Please print a hard copy of the complaint for your records in the upcoming investigation.”

Honestly, who wouldn’t open that attachment?
